Amerind Museum Tour

Take advantage of this unique opportunity to travel an hour east of Tucson for a guided tour of the Amerind Museum and Fulton-Hayden Memorial Art Gallery. The tour will be led by The Amerind Foundation's Executive Director, Dr. Christine R. Szuter, and Hopi artists Ramson and Jessica Lomatewama will be giving demonstrations of glass blowing and basket weaving, respectively, and displaying their art. Ramson is known as a wonderful speaker, poet, and educator, and Jessica is an excellent basket weaver. Vans will leave from the front of the Arizona State Museum at 9:00am and return there at 3:00pm. Cost: $50, includes transportation, admission to the Museum, and specialty box lunch. The meal options are Regular, Vegetarian, Vegan, Gluten Free or Diabetic.

When: Saturday, December 5, 2015, 9:00 a.m. Vans will leave from the driveway in front of the Arizona State Museum and return there at 3:00 p.m.
Directions: The Arizona State Museum is east of the main entrance to the U of A, located at University Blvd. and Park Ave. The building is on the north side of University Blvd.
Parking: Parking available at three University garages (there shouldn’t be any charge):
Main Gate Garage: Second Street at Euclid Avenue
Sixth Street Garage: Sixth Street between Park and Highland Avenues
Tyndall Avenue Garage: Tyndall Avenue, between University and Sixth Street
